These terms are the conditions for using MyKorTrip ("the site"). By using the site you agree to these terms, the privacy policy and the disclaimer. The operator is a person living in Korea. See About for who runs the site.

The service

The site is a Seoul trip planner for people visiting Korea. It is free and there is no sign-up. You can read it in English, Japanese and Korean.

• My Trip Plan builds a day-by-day route, with subway directions and a fare estimate, from the places you pick, your dates and your flight times. The plan itself is stored only in your browser (local storage) and is not sent to our servers. The identifiers of the places you pick are sent to the server and kept only as anonymous monthly totals, so we can see which places are popular. This is the same practice described in the privacy policy. A share link contains the plan, so anyone you give the link to can see it.
• Area and spot guides, travel-prep guides and sample itineraries
• Event listings from the Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI, and a calendar of festivals at their usual time of year
• Tools for yen–won conversion, fares and a trip budget, plus a trip expense tracker whose entries stay only in the browser

The site does not take bookings, sell tickets, arrange hotels, or write a personal itinerary for you.

Acceptable use

• Use the site to plan your own trip.
• Do not present the site as an official site of the Korean government or the Korea Tourism Organization.
• Do not republish the site's text, design or the operator's photographs as if you had made them. Photos and data that belong to someone else stay under that source's own terms.
• Do not use automated access at a volume that interferes with the site.
• Do not use the site for anything that breaks the law.
• Do not send card numbers, or other people's personal information, in a message to us when we do not need them to reply.

No warranty — estimates only

The site is free and is provided as it is. Fares, travel times, opening hours, fees, closures, events and exchange rates are estimates. We do not warrant that they are accurate, up to date, or fit for a particular purpose. Fare changes, timetable changes, sudden closures, cancelled events and exchange-rate moves can make them differ from what you find on the day. Check official sources before you travel. Exchange rates, events and some photos depend on outside services, so they may fail to appear. Features and content may change or pause without notice.

If you clear this site's data in your browser, the saved plan and expense-tracker entries are deleted, and we cannot restore them.

Limitation of liability

We accept no liability for any loss arising from use of this information, or for the content of external sites we link to. Decisions about your trip are yours.

Ads and external links

The site may show Google AdSense advertising to help cover running costs. How advertising cookies work is explained in the privacy policy.

A link marked "Ad" is an affiliate link to a travel booking service. If you buy through it we may earn a commission, and the price you pay does not go up.

The content, prices, availability and privacy practices of an external site are governed by that site. We do not control them.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when needed and will update the effective date on this page. If you keep using the site after a revision, you agree to the revised terms.
